PLUS TWO!!!

Our Quads  Life was normal once upon a time :) We had two older children and thought, well, another little one wandering around would be great. Ha, Ha, Ha Lets try FOUR !! We love it!! And would not trade it for the world. Our little ones where born 10/24/01 and life has never been "normal" again. To keep it exciting I became totally disabled in August '03. So we must have someone help out all the time. Yup, it's busy around here.

Energy      This section will be about our energy independence. We own about 12 acres and provide all of our own fuel, food, and power. Our goal is to help everyone become self sufficient and say good by to big oil. I will do my best to detail how we manage our swamp, to raising a garden, producing fuel ethanol (and all the needed crops to do it) to producing our own off-grid electric.  (no we are not hippies, just a big old fashioned family)

.Our Blog   Our home was destroyed by Hurricane Charley on 8/13/2004 (this is a story by itself, insurance adjusters trying to rip us off,  our government help -ha!!-) If you and your family has ever slept in the living room -(remember there is 8 of us) for four months then you know how we feel (not happy)!!     12/06/06 update - we still have no home, the little ones are now 4 years old, and our government....you see the news look at what happened for (or maybe to) KATRINA victims.

Why ? Do things happen the way they do? Crohn's Disease started it's devastation of my family around 1995 ish - and we have been harassed by medical (companies more than anything) problems ever after. Now after not being able to work, I filled for my disability (I paid for a policy at work). Now you would think that I am a felon!!

I have had Private Investigators follow me (my doctor has shown my the "private" report about the investigators that I am not to see????). I have gone to "THEIR" doctors (and was given information that I was not to have!!??). I have filled out reports, questionnaires, and I guess the last straw for me, they have contacted my Mother (!!!!). Why? There was no problem when I paid the premiums.
